Sign Language Literature: Animation Storytelling?

In the last decade or so, we have seen more and more animated characters using sign language. Typically, the characters express themselves through dialogue between two or more characters or a monologue in where they send out a specific message to their audiences. Then several video clips by separate artists emerged where the animated character either told a story or a poem in sign language, which offers up the curious questions of who the actual storyteller is, the team that developed the character or the animated character itself and whether or not the stories can be considered Sign Language Literature?  This recent development will be discussed during the course of the presentation and an analysis on these stories and poems’ role in the category of Sign Language Literature will be presented.
